About this site
Here I will explore what it means to lead towards equity - in organizations, our personal lives, and societally.
My name is Tip Fallon, and I do a lot of work with organizations related to culture change, leadership development, and DEI.
My hopes:
- Unpack the glossed-over and complex topics
We simply don't have the time or sometimes the psychological safety to unpack and examine many topics, particularly those that are complex and don't have a simple answer, when doing this work in organizations. I hope this is a place where we can give the complexity of equity more space to breathe, so to speak. - Gain perspective and connect with others
I always feel more informed and grateful when I get to hear others' takes that are different than my own and enjoy our connections that often emerge in this journey. - Build my writing muscles and have fun
I've long had a goal of writing and publishing my thoughts more, and even though there is a nervousness that comes with it, I hope to enjoy the process and have some fun here, too.
A bit about me:
I have been coaching and consulting for about 15 years, and ran my own practice for the last ten years. I'm in my early 40s, based in Chicago, am fine with he or they pronouns, married, a parent, come from a working-class neighborhood, am multiracial and multicultural (of Thai-Isan and Irish Catholic heritage), and a few
I completed a master's degree in Organization Development (OD) and am a certified professional diversity coach. I've worked with dozens of organizations across public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and some outside of the U.S. I've also taught for about a decade in OD and DEI programs at a few universities.
